No homeowner wants to experience a flood, however the chance to make some changes can soften the blow just a bit.  A closed in kitchen and under-utilized adjacent area were updated and re-worked.  With the help of a hefty carrying beam, we removed the walls enclosing two sides of the kitchen, allowing the westerly light from the back to make it's way in.  New corner windows and built-in dining seating create a cozy, light filled space that flows comfortably from the kitchen.  My clients incorporated salvaged bowling alley flooring into the design of their kitchen counters, adding a unique touch to their beautifully crafted cabinetry.
